On 26 december of 2000, two dj's named: Dj Gino Manzotti (Giuseppe Handke) and Dj Maxx (Ovidiu Florea) decide to merge their powers to succeed in the promotion of the dance music.
So, this being a project between two dj's, they decided to name it "Dj Project".
In a few months they realized the first discographic material, named "Experience".
One year later, in 2002, a maxisingle was launched, this time called "Spune-mi tot ce vrei".
Only 3 years was enough for the guys to realize that the people like more than instrumental music, so, they decided to add a feminine voice in the band.
After this choice, Elena Baltagan becamed a part of Dj Project, and her voice brought a big success to the band.
The success begun with a new maxisingle in a new formule, this time with Elena, the album having the name of "Lumea Ta".
The track becamed famous at international level, but was outmached quick by a new musical project, named "Crazy Frog".
În 2005, an album is launched, named "Şoapte". From this album two tracks where choosed for two videoclips, "Şoapte" and "Privirea Ta".
In 2006, they bring on the market a new material, "Povestea Mea", being the 5th album, from where the band decided to promote the tracks "Încă o Noapte", "Eşti tot ce am" and "Before I Sleep" (Privirea Ta), this track being a "luck try" outside the country, the clip being on all the european continent.
In the same year they won the "Best Romanian Act", a big and important prize for their career, and being declared by MTV Europe as the best romanian band of 2006.
And the history is not over. In 2007, in june the 6th album, "Două Anotimpuri", is made, and also a clip at the same track.
